Recombinant Rat TGF beta 1 / TGF b1 / TGFB1 Protein INQUIRY

Cat.No: RP-1977RL
Cat# RP-1977RL
Product Name Recombinant Rat TGFB1 Protein
Synonym Transforming growth factor beta-1, TGF-beta-1, Tgfb, Tgfb-1, TGFbeta1.
Background Transforming growth factor betas (TGFBetas) mediate many cell-cell interactions which occur during embryonic development. Three TGFBetas have been identified in mammals. TGFBeta1, TGFBeta2 and TGFBeta3 are each synthesized as precursor proteins which are very similar in that each is cleaved to yield a 112 amino acid polypeptide which remains associated with the latent portion of the molecule.
Description A DNA sequence encoding the rat TGFB1 (Ala279-Ser390) was expressed. Rat and Mouse mature TGFB1 sequences are identical. Recombinant rat TGFB1 protein is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Source Human cells
Predicted N Terminal Ala 279
Molecule Weight The recombinant rat TGFB1 protein comprises 112 amino acids and predicts a molecular mass of 12.8 kDa.
Bioactivity Measured by its ability to inhibit cell proliferation of Mv-1-lu mink lung epithelial cells. The ED50 for this effect is 0.2-0.8 ng/mL.
