Introduction Recombinant Protein A/G is a genetically engineered protein containing five Fc binding domains from protein A and three from protein G. Cell wall binding region, albumin binding region and other nonspecific binding regions have been eliminated to ensure the maximum specific IgG binding. Compared to Protein A and Protein G, Recombinant Protein A/G binds to all human IgG subclasses, IgA, IgE and IgM, but not with mouse IgA, IgM, and serum albumin, making it the ideal choice for purification and detection of monoclonal IgG antibodies from mouse. This fusion Recombinant Protein A/G protein reduces the dependence on the pH, allowing binding in the range of pH5 to pH8.
