Production Procedures: 

Purified pig IgG is isolated using fractionation and DEAE chromatography.

Protein concentration was determined by extinction coefficient: absorbance at 280 nm of 1.4 equals 1.0 mg of IgG.

By immunoelectrophoresis the IgG was shown to 1) react with antiserum specific for pig IgG, 2) not react with antiserum specific for IgA or IgM, and 3) produce a single precipitin arc with antiserum against pig serum identical to that produced with anti-IgG.

Application: Used as a positive control in immunoassays.

Stability: Purified Pig IgG is stable for up to 2 years from date of receipt at 2 - 8℃.
